BIOGRAPHY

Jane Miller has lived in Oak Ridge since the age of three. In addition to her time on Oak Ridge City Council, Jane has worked with B&W Y-12 since November 2000 as a member of the B&W Y-12 public affairs organization. Miller serves as public relations protocol officer and coordinates many of the official visitor and public interface activities at Y-12, including facilitator for the B&W Y-12 Community Relations Council, responsibility for community and visitor relations, and the Dept of Energy facilities public tour. Prior to working at B&W Y-12, Jane held professional positions with Lockheed Martin and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Miller is a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and the University of Tennessee, where she earned a B.S. in business management. She was selected to serve two terms Board of Directors Chair of the Oak Ridge Convention and Visitors Bureau (ORCVB). An alumni of Leadership Oak Ridge Class of 1999, Miller served on the Leadership Oak Ridge board of directors 2001-2007. She is a member of the East Tennessee Regional Leadership Class of 2003. Miller is an active member of Central Baptist Church - Oak Ridge, and she has taught kindergarten Sunday School there since 1996, and also works with the AWANA children's program. Jane Miller is married to Barry Vickers who is employed as a computer consultant.
